The all-new 2020 Nissan Kicks has launched in India and it comes as an absolute surprise for those who plan to buy a budget SUV. The auto group, Nissan India has done a remarkable job in tweaking the Kicks SUV to make it more promising, better performing and at the same time, very reasonable for people to own it. The key highlight of this SUV is its newly introduced BS6 compliant, 1.3 L turbocharged petrol engine, which is considered the most powerful one among all the existing engines offered in the same segment.

The new Kicks SUV has also taken a leap on various fronts — driving dynamics, innovation, safety and design. It is tagged at the starting price of INR 9,49,990 (ex-showroom, India) and is available in 4 variants, which are XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O).

Nissan Kicks Exterior

The 2020 Kicks is a true stunner when it comes to design. Some may find it similar to its forerunner but what impresses the most are its automatic projector headlights with LED DRLs, fog lights with cornering feature, bigger 17 inches alloy wheels, stylish roof rails and boomerang taillights. The floating roof adds uniqueness to the silhouette and the door-mounted ORVMs also make their presence felt prominently. The rear fog lamps striped at the bumper look simple but are noticeable to eyes. The ground clearance of this is SUV is also impressive, i.e. 210mm.

The new Nissan Kicks is available in 6 monotone and 3 dual-tone colour options. The monotone choices are Night Shade, Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Pearl White and Deep Blue Pearl, while the dual-tone colours include Bronze Grey with Amber Orange, Pearl White with Onyx Black and Fire Red with Onyx Black.

Inside view of Nissan Kicks Turbo CVT is also as soothing and appealing as its exterior. The moment you get on the driver’s seat, you notice the steering wheel wrapped in leather, which also houses multiple controls for added convenience. In the dark, you’ll be highly amused by the ambient lighting aka ‘mood light’. The dashboard also exhibits leather, which makes the interior look more premium. The dual-tone upholstery also catches the sight and the seats look finely designed to let you drive stress-free.

The 2020 Kicks SUV showcases the feat of Nissan’s next-level innovation. It gets a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment that also displays an outside 360-degree view for parking assistance with four cameras. This car also gets NissanConnect that comes with 50+ features to offer you top-notch safety, security and convenience. The new Nissan Kicks also features voice recognition and supports Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, AUX and USB. Another major highlight of this SUV is its first-in-segment Remote Engine Start feature. You can start your engine remotely by pressing the RES button present on the Card Fob for 2 seconds. Other fabulous features of this SUV include idle start-stop system, automatic headlamps, fog lamps with cornering function, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic AC and more.

The new Nissan Kicks 2020 is also offered with some impressive features that improve the safety and drive. Nissan Kicks Specs

Under the hood, the Nissan Kicks is available in two engine choices – 1.5 litre petrol and 1.3 litre turbocharged petrol. The 1.5 litre BS6 petrol motor comes mated to a manual transmission while the newly introduced 1.3 litre BS6 turbocharged petrol motor is available either with a manual gearbox or an automatic X-tronic CVT. This new 1.3 litre turbo petrol engine churns out peak power of 156PS and peak torque of 254Nm.
