The 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 has gone through a complete makeover. It now looks striking and modern with the purposeful design intact and exudes confidence. The Matrix LED lights also highlight the modern elements on the car and the huge amount of cladding, makes it look ready for any sort of adventure. The rear looks bold with the spare wheel attached and complements to the macho look.
The Defender has had a no-nonsense interior because it was a car focused on off-roading. The 2021 Land Rover Defender 90, changes the game with a plush interior. The cabin is solidly built and has all the convenience features and much more. It is identical to the one on the Defender 110, which means the quality levels inside are great as well. The 10-inch infotainment screen has all the features you’d require and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster has a high-resolution display with all the necessary information related to the car.
Land Rover has equipped the 2021 Defender 90 with a whole of technology and features to make it modern and in line with the rivals. The 10-inch Pivi Pro display gets Apple Carplay and Android Auto and voice gesture too. The 12.3-inch interactive drivers display has the added flexibility of showing a 3D navigation with the functionality of a Heads-Up Display. A 3D surround camera with parking aid makes the Defender easy to drive in the city as well. Safety has also been given immense importance with six airbags on offer including thorax airbags.
Clear Sight Technology
Staying true to the modern appeal, the new Defender 90 has been equipped with Clear Sight Technology. Starting off, with the Clear Sight Ground View technology, you can effectively see through the bonnet and display multiple exterior views, including vehicle’s underside and wheels as you drive. On the other hand, the Clear Sight Interior Rear View Mirror provides an unobstructed view of the road behind you, regardless of rear seat passengers or objects in the load space. Wade sensing uses ultrasonic sensors to provide real-time pictorial information about water depth.
The new Defender 90 comes with three capable engine options. A 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 296 bhp and 400 nm of torque, a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine which produces 394 bhp and 550 nm of torque and a 3.0-litre diesel engine which makes 296 bhp and 650 nm of torque. All three powertrain options are supremely capable and will get those off-road duties done with minimum hitch. All of these are mated to an automatic transmission with the configurable Terrain Response 2 System. It helps the car to adapt differently to different off-road conditions.
