More Power Under Hood
With 2021 Fortuner, Toyota has introduced a new and meatier diesel powertrain choice in the form of 2.8L that churns out 204PS of maximum power at 3000-3400rpm and a peak torque of 500Nm at 1600-2800rpm. This powertrain is offered with both, new Fortuner and Legender. At present, a similar displacement powertrain produces 177PS and 450Nm.
The petrol counterpart comes with no update and continues to churn out 166PS at 5200rpm and 245Nm at 4000rpm. The 2021 Fortuner is presented with manual (5-speed and 6-speed) transmissions, while the gets sole automatic gearbox choice.
