2022 Hyundai Creta Spied On Road Ahead of its Launch

Hyundai Creta, globally launched in a new avatar in 2019, is one of the more popular models in Indian, Indonesian and South Korean markets. Its 2022 facelifted model is likely to debut at the GIIAS 2021 (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) in Indonesia.

The mid-size SUV was spotted multiple times in Indonesia and South Korea adding to the speculation surrounding its launch. Now, new spy images have been revealed that gives us a fair idea of the makeover Creta has received.

Design Updates

At the front, it looks like Creta has a new Parametric Jewel grille that takes its inspiration from the new-gen Tucson. The LED DRLs of the SUV are also integrated with the grille while the headlamp will be positioned on the bumper. There is also a newly revamped bumper at the back.


There are expected updates in the technical features too. An updated BlueLink connected car tech with new safety features, an updated digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree parking camera along with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are anticipated to be added. The ADAS features will include the likes of blind-spot monitoring, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, etc.

Engine Options

It will be offered in 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Also, the transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox, IVT, 7-speed DCT, and it may include a 6-speed iMT too.

Price Range

The expected price range may start Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.


The facelifted model will continue its rivalry with Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and Nissan Kicks.
