The updated Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is unveiled at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo. As speculated, the new Brezza appears more premium over its predecessor. Besides getting a new body shell, the Maruti SUV gets a new heart as well in the form of a 1.5-litre BS6 petrol engine. This time, the 2020 Vitara Brezza ditches the diesel motor and runs on a 105 PS petrol engine that comes mated to an automatic transmission.
Is the new 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza really different?
Since it is a mid-life update, the changes are not radical in the updated Vitara Brezza. It gets redesigned thick chromed front grille flanked by headlamps. The LED daytime running lights are a part of the headlamp unit. A revised front bumper with new fog lamp housing positioning is also evident. Dual-tone alloy wheels look impressive on the 2020 Vitara Brezza. Also, refreshed colour options make the new Brezza worth considering.
2020 Maruti Brezza Engine & Specifications
The biggest change in the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is its powertrain. From being a completely diesel-powered SUV it has become a completely petrol-centric car with a single petrol option. It gets a new BS6 compliant 1.5-litre K16 4-cylinder engine, already doing duties under the Maruti Ertiga’s bonnet. The indigenously developed engine generates 105 PS of max power and 138Nm of peak torque.

In the subcompact SUV segment, the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza takes on the Hyundai Venue, 2020 Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Honda WRV and Mahindra XUV 300. However, the twist this time would be the absence of a diesel motor in the Brezza.
