Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace the seven-seater SUV will feature BS6 2.0L petrol engine, launch next month.
German automaker Volkswagen has unleashed its awaited Tiguan Allspace SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. As the name goes ‘Allspace’, it’s an SUV that’s high on room and can seat up to 7 occupants inside the cabin. A part of VW’s India 2.0 project, powering the Tiguan Allspace will be the 2.0L TSI Turbo petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Expected to flaunt price label of Rs 35 Lakh (ex-showroom) it will be launched in India in March 2020. The bookings are open at the Volkswagen dealerships across the country.
With the intention to acquire sizable market share in the SUV segment in India, the German car giant has fielded the 7-seater version of the VW Tiguan as a family vehicle. In addition to oodles of space, the three-row SUV also claims to offer a long list of comfort and convenience features for the driver and passengers. Although the overall appearance and cabin ambience looks similar to the ongoing 5-seater, however, its comprehensive dimensions make it look distinct. The Tiguan Allspace SUV is 4712mm in length, 1839mm in width and 1673mm in height, while the wheelbase lay at 2791mm.
Powering the spacious SUV underhood will be a 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of generating a huge power output of 190hp. Coupled to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, the engine also features 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system for better adaptability on any kind of road surface.
Some of the high-end features that are expected to come as standard across Tiguan Allspace line-up comprises of LED Headlamps with DRL, panoramic sunroof, active info display, Vienna leather seats, reverse parking camera, 3-zone climatronic auto ac, and others. Moreover, the standard safety gear list includes 7 airbags with knee airbags, Anti-lock braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and many more.
