Bentley launched a strategy for its future electric vehicle line. The plan named Beyond 100, is basically an outline of the launch of 5 new electric vehicles from Bentley starting with the first model in 2025. This Five-in-Five plan aims to launch one electric vehicle model per year. By 2030, there will be 5 new EV models launched by Bentley.

Bentley also aims to go fully carbon neutral by 2030. For this, the company has made a significant sustainable investment of 2.5 billion pounds on the Beyond 100 Strategy. The first electric vehicle for 2025 will be designed and manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, England.

Adrian Hallmark, Chairman, and CEO of Bentley Motors commented, “Simultaneously accelerating our Beyond100 strategy and securing BEV production at Crewe, alongside a £2.5 billion investment, makes this a major landmark in Bentley’s 102-year history. It is a shining light for the Bentley family, our suppliers, and partners, as well as the automotive industry and UK manufacturing as a whole.”

The company also noted that the new investment will aid in securing Bentley’s financial future at Crewe and also that the facility there will undergo upgradation and digitisation without any environmental impact.

This will be the first step towards achieving the company’s plan to become fully carbon neutral and environmentally sustainable by 2030. Bentley will also be increasing the production of energy on-site. They have 30,000 solar panels now at the Crewe facility which is going to be upped by another 10,000 panels within the next two years.

“This latest announcement regarding Bentley’s Beyond 100 plan confirms the initiation of a major transformative phase in the company’s long and illustrious history. The world is changing and we need to play our part in neutralising our environmental impact. That means delivering on our aim to be end-to-end carbon neutral by 2030, and reaffirming our role as the leader in sustainable luxury mobility,” said Hallmark.
