German luxury carmaker BMW has launched three new ‘Mini’ cars in India.
Mini India has launched three new cars in India, namely Mini three-door hatchback, new Mini Convertible and Mini JCW hatchback. Test drives and bookings for these cars have started across India. These cars will be offered in petrol engines as completely built-up units (CBUs).
The prices of these three brand new cars are as follows:
- Mini Three-door Hatchback – Rs 38 Lakh (Ex-showroom, India)
- Mini Convertible – Rs 44 Lakh (Ex-showroom, India)
- Mini John Cooper Works Hatchback – Rs 45.50 (Ex-showroom, India)
The Mini Hatchback and Mini Convertible are equipped with a 2.0-litre Twin Power turbo petrol engine which generates 192 bhp of power and 280 Nm of torque. While the JCW Hatchback gets a 2.0-litre engine which produces 231 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque.
Mini Hatchback and Mini Convertible are mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic transmission and the performance-based JCW is paired to an 8-speed Steptronic sport transmission. The exteriors of these cars get a hexagonal radiator grille, overhangs, new air intakes, British-flag-inspired rear lights graphics, new air intakes and more.
Mini John Cooper Works hatchback is equipped with an 8.8-inch colour touchscreen display, exclusive John Cooper Works bonnet stripes, red highlights, honeycomb grille, contrast paint finish for the roof and mirror caps in white, black, or exclusively for Mini John Cooper Works in chilli red colour.
Interior is updated with two new surface trims and upholstery options, sport seats, a new steering wheel, an 8.8-inch colour touchscreen display and many advanced safety features.
Like the Mini John Cooper Works hatch, the Mini Convertible and Mini Three-Door models also come equipped with various advanced comfort, convenience and safety features.
