The facelifted Honda Amaze is scheduled to be launched on the 18th of August 2021. The Japanese carmaker is coming up with exciting updates thick and fast. The pre-launch bookings for the model had already started on the 4th of August as the auto giant has started dispatching out units from its plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Moreover, the sedan has been spotted at dealership courtyards flaunting cosmetic updates and creating curiosity among the potential buyers. Let’s take a look at all the amazing updates that Amaze has received.
For the powertrain, the facelifted Amaze continues to run on the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine yields 90PS and 110 Nm whereas the diesel engine yields 100PS and 200 Nm. The diesel CVT pushes 80PS and 160 Nm. All the engine options are coupled with a 5-speed manual and CVT options.
On the shell, the Amaze gets a slightly tweaked front bumper, a new front grille flaunting chrome slats and chrome connecting bars, new fog lamps with chrome accents around the corners, and a new set of LED lamps which were long due. However, it gets the same alloy wheel design as the fourth-generation Honda City and chrome details on the door handles. No spy shots reveal the rear end of the new Amaze but a teaser video gives a peek of LED C-shaped elements in the tail lamps.
Inside the cabin, updates are few including a new gear knob covering, silver enhancements on the dashboard and steering wheel, and a prepped-up larger infotainment system that it derives from the new Honda City. Features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, multi-info display, and keyless entry with push-button start button are expected to be provided.
Expected Price Range
One can expect a more premium price tag on the 2021 Honda Amaze starting at a price of Rs 6.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Official prices will be revealed on 18th August but Pre-Bookings are officially available for a refundable token amount of Rs 21,000.
