Ford has been famous globally for manufacturing SUVs and trucks and it tried to portray that image in the Indian market as well. The Ford Endeavour was one of the vehicles which was a major game-changer for the automaker and helped them to strengthen their image in the Indian market. It was an SUV that became very popular because of its design and interior. The SUV loving and hungry people of India welcomed the vehicle with open arms and it set the tone for Ford. Apart from other cars in the line-up, the Endeavour was always among the top-selling, mainly because it did not have any rivals which could come close. Now, there is a lot of competition and for those who decide to buy the Endeavour are then faced with the task of selecting a suitable variant. Continue reading this post and we will assist you in making an informed decision.

Powerplant Specifications

Ford Endeavour

Variants Engine Transmission Power (bhp) Torque (Nm)
Titanium Plus 4×2 AT 2.0-litre Diesel 10-Speed AT 168 420
Titanium Plus 4×4 AT 2.0-litre Diesel 10-Speed AT 168 420
Sport Edition 2.0-litre Diesel 10-Speed AT 168 420

The Ford Endeavour is offered with a single 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 168 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. These are some solid figures which portray the performance in the real world as well. The vehicle feels adequately punchy to drive and might be a hassle to drive in the city due to its large dimensions. However, it is a great highway machine and can also be deemed as a capable off-roader. The 10-Speed AT gearbox takes flexibility to another level and aids driving comfort.

Price List

Variants Price (ex-showroom)
Titanium Plus 4×2 AT Rs 33.81 Lakhs
Titanium Plus 4×4 AT Rs 35.61 Lakhs
Sport Edition Rs 36.26 Lakhs

The prices for the Ford Endeavour are a bit on the higher side and could have been a little lower. But, considering the impact it has already made on the market and the robust build quality it offers, it might somewhere justify the price tag. The major difference in the prices is due to the 4×2 and 4×4 configuration which is understandable.

There are plenty of safety features on offer for the Ford Endeavour. All the variants get uniform features which is a great thing, considering the price bracket it sits in. It is good to see that Ford has maintained uniformity in this aspect so that people do not compromise on safety while choosing a trim and this is something that every manufacturer should incorporate.

Ford has done an excellent job outfitting the Endeavour’s interior with plenty of features. As one can derive from the table, there are plenty of features on offer but it misses out on something which in my opinion, should have been included and that is wireless charging. Wireless charging is a feature that is present in vehicles from a lower segment and while Ford added a fair amount of kit, they omitted this small yet valuable feature. Nonetheless, the uniformity is still consistent in this department and the Endeavour has ample kit.

Conclusion

Ford Endeavour is an SUV that has a capable diesel engine on offer and can be deemed as an off-roader with 4×4 configuration because it has differential locks and various drive modes. Moreover, there is uniformity in every department for the SUV and it was necessary due to the price it demands from the customers. The only difference in pricing is due to the 4×4 and 4×2 configurations and the cost is associated with itself while incorporating it into the vehicle. Through this comparison, you can buy any variant of the Endeavour and it boils down to the personal choice of the person, whether to buy the 4×4 or 4×2 variant.
