Kia Carnival MPV comes in three variants and a single diesel engine option.
Kia Motors continue its offensive in the Indian automotive market with the launch of the Carnival MPV at the Auto Expo 2020. Kia Carnival prices start at Rs 24.95 lakh for the base Premium trim and go all the way up to Rs 33.95 lakh for the top-spec Limousine variant (both prices ex-showroom India). The people mover has already created the buzz among buyers with more than 3500 bookings till now!

The second product of Kia Motors in India, the Carnival is bigger in proportions and more premium compared to the Toyota Innova Crysta. It gets an exhaustive list of comfort and convenience features.
Kia Carnival Premium
Every variant of the Kia Carnival is suitably loaded with features. The Premium trim comes with a choice of two seating arrangements – 7-seater and 8-seater. The difference between the two versions is a mere Rs 20,000.
The standard safety gadgets in the Kia MPV include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child anchorages and rear camera. Moreover, the creature comforts list read projector headlamps, power-sliding doors, tilt and telescopic steering, three-zone auto climate control, power-adjustable wing mirrors, cruise control and keyless entry/exit. It sits on 18-inch alloy wheels. The 8.0-inch touchscreen comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Kia Carnival Prestige
Similar to the Premium, the Prestige trim also comes with two seating choices – 7-seater and 9-seater. Here, the price difference between both Prestige versions is over Rs 1 lakh. Though, you get an exclusive leatherette upholstery with the 9-seater version.
Over and above the Premium trim, the Carnival Prestige packs in side and curtain airbags, front parking sensors, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), LED projector headlamps, hill-start assist, ice-cube LED fog lamps, a dual-pane sunroof, power-folding wing mirrors and a powered tailgate.
Kia Carnival Limousine
The range-topping Limousine trim gets all the bells and whistles of the Kia Carnival. Unlike other variants, this trim is only offered with a 7-seater layout. It gets an added oomph with Nappa leather seat upholstery, leather-wrapped steering and gear knob along with second-row captain seats with extendable leg support. Moreover, it gets an air purifier, UVO connected car features and powered ventilated driver’s seat. It also gets a massive 10.1-inch dual rear-seat entertainment screens too.
Kia Carnival can be had with three seating choices – 7-seater, 8-seater and 9-seater. 7-seater comes with 2+2+3 arrangement while 8-seater gets 2+3+3 design. The 9-seater version comes with four rows and arrangement of 2+2+2+3 layout.
Essentially, it does not have any direct competition as its price bracket is above the Toyota Innova Crysta. But yes, Crysta buyers may want to try their hands on the Carnival before signing the cheque.
