Kia EV6 bookings in India go live today!
Bookings can be done at the Kia India website and at 15 dealerships across 12 cities.
The initial advance payment to book the EV6 is Rs 3 lakh.
EV6 will be launched officially on June 2, 2022
Kia India is launching its first model in the electric segment, the EV6. EV6 will be produced in limited numbers for sales.

The electric crossover is now open for bookings from 26th May for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. Kia will be sending out only 100 units for sale in India. Bookings for these 100 units of EV6 can be done online and offline through 15 exclusive dealerships in 12 cities in India.
EV6 Design and Trims
EV6 is built on Kia’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Kia will be using this platform for its new line of electric vehicles in the future. Kia uses the Opposites United design language and offers 2 trims for the EV6 – GT Line and GT Line AWD.
Battery and Range
EV6 is powered by a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that comes with ultra-fast charging capacity. It can charge up to 80 per cent with a 350 kWh charger in only 18 minutes. Kia claims a range of 528 km (RWD) and 425 km (AWD) on a single full charge of the battery. Kia also lets EV6 charge other devices using the 2-way technology.
Both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options are offered with the EV6 trims. The rear-wheel-drive will come with a single motor capable of generating 226 bhp and the all-wheel-drive will get dual motors producing up to 321 bhp.
Kia has given EV6 3 driving modes – Normal, Sport and Eco. EV6 also comes with smart regenerative braking.

Expected Price and Rivals
EV6 can be expected to hit the showrooms for a price of Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the upcoming XC40 Recharge and Hyundai’s Ioniq 5.
