Kia India is set to revamp the variant lineup for the Seltos SUV. Currently, the 1.5-litre petrol version is offered in four varieties – HTX, HTE, HTK, and HTK Plus. Currently, the iMT transmission that is available only with the HTK Plus trim will soon be available with the HTX trim too, due to a new Type Approval Certificate.
Kia updated the Seltos in May 2021 with a new logo and an iMT six-speed transmission. However, the clutchless automatic transmission was only offered on the mid-tier HTK Plus trim level. This trim will come with two transmission options, including a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed intelligent manual transmission, allowing it to be more appealing to new car buyers.
Other features will include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with OTA updates, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, AI voice commands, hill-start assist, brake assist, ambient lighting, cruise control, and keyless entry.
The car’s 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 113 horsepower and 144 pounds-feet of torque. In India, Seltos recently launched a top-spec, X Line model. The X Line is priced from Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in two variants.
