Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder Launched in India

Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder in India at the price tag of Rs 3.54 crore (Ex-showroom Price, Delhi). RWD abbreviation means rear-wheel-drive, it adds on the blob of making the Huracan more powerful. Huracan Evo RWD is the fourth reiteration of the V10 supercars introduced by Lamborghini in India. It has been positioned higher than its sibling RWD coupe which was launched in 2020.

The engine of Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder is powered by a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 which generates 610 bhp @ 8000 rpm of maximum power and 560 Nm @ 6500 rpm of peak torque. It comes paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission option.


Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India stated “We at Lamborghini aim to create an extraordinary experience for our Indian buyers as India is one of the strategic markets. Without any exception, Huracan Evo RWD Spyder targets to few selected clients which will double the driving experience for them. We want our customers to attain a sense of liberation with this open-top driving experience.”

Huracan Evo RWD Spyder is claimed to take a sprint of 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 324 kmph. A dry weight of 1509 kg is claimed by Lamborghini for Evo RWD Spyder, it is 120 kg heavier than the RWD coupe. Huracan RWD Spyder will also be equipped with a folding fabric roof which can be lowered in 17 seconds at 50 kmph of speed.

Huracan RWD Spyder is Rs 32 Lakh more expensive than RWD Coupe but at the same time, it is Rs 56 Lakh less expensive than the AWD Spyder. Huracan RWD Spyder shares a similar price range of Rs 3.54 crore with Ferrari Portofino which is an entry-level convertible supercar priced at Rs 3.5 crore. This makes Ferrari Portofino a direct competitor of Huracan RWD Spyder.

Aside from the underlying mechanical differences between AWD Spyder and RWD Spyder which makes Huracan RWD Spyder less costly, namely no AWD system without rear-wheel steering, Lamborghini has achieved this aggressive cost by eliminating several things from the AWD model. Now, carbon-ceramic brakes, elastic dampers, parking sensors along with the nose lift feature are no seen in the car but can be added by paying additional price.
