New-Gen 2022 Scorpio N Images Revealed
The new-gen Scorpio was tested by the company for the last 2 years and is now being launched finally this year. Mahindra had previously announced its intention to unveil the Z101 as the successor to its widely successful Scorpio model. Although we had expected the unveiling to coincide with the brand’s 20th Anniversary on the 20th of June, the date has been pushed back a week to the 27th now.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division of Mahindra said, “Scorpio has been a landmark model for Mahindra which has redefined the category and became an iconic brand in the Indian automobile industry. The All-New Scorpio-N is expected to recreate benchmarks in the SUV segment in India, yet again. With an unmissable design, thrilling performance and high-end technology, we continue to carry forward the Mahindra legacy of building authentic, tough yet sophisticated SUVs.”
The new Scorpio will occupy the place above the previous Scorpio model in Mahindra’s line-up and just below the popular XUV700. We are expecting multiple trims and variants from the new Scorpio N. So it will not be surprising to see one or two of the high-end variants overlap or top the mid-level variants of the XUV700.
Production of Scorpio N will be carried out from the company’s facility in Chakan, Pune. The design and engineering of this new model Scorpio is claimed by multiple teams from Mahindra including Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) near Chennai, Mahindra Design Studio in Mumbai and Mahindra North American Technical Center (MNATC) in the USA.
The pictures reveal a new gorgeous looking SUV that is unmistakably a new design from the old Scorpio. A lot of leaked images have been circulating of the interiors of the Scorpio N that show plush premium layers and wider seats compared to its spiritual successor.

Scorpio N is expected to be run by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine (130 hp) and a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine (150 hp). Transmission options expected to be offered include both the 6-speed manual and the 6-speed automatic gearbox.
