Performance and Ride Quality

Mahindra XUV700 will be available with two engine options, turbo petrol and a diesel. The turbo petrol engine is a 2.0-litre unit that produces 150 bhp and 320 Nm of torque and the diesel is a 2.2-litre unit producing 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. These will be paired with a 6-speed automatic and manual gearbox and will come with a segment-first optional 4WD system. Both the engines are capable of powertrains and do not feel underpowered at any moment. The turbo petrol is a fun to drive option but it will be down on fuel economy, whereas, the diesel engine is not as responsive but will be frugal enough. These engines are good for city and highway duties.

Coming to the rear, the second row of seats are fairly comfortable and have ample kneeroom and headroom. Taller passengers might complain about the under-thigh support but it is bearable. Seating three people in the second row is very much possible as the vehicle is wide enough. The third row is best suited for kids as the seating position is a bit upright and the knees-up position might feel really uncomfortable for adults.
