Mahindra XUV700’s Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) with a camera and radar technology is revealed in greater detail this time around. Here’s what you need to know this too impressive ADAS technology introduced in Mahindra XUV700.

    What is ADAS?

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) could alleviate human error-related vehicle accidents in a substantial manner. The development of radar-based technology is also considered a step towards creating autonomous vehicles in the future. A number of vision-based algorithms are used by the ADAS, and the system processes and takes action based on the environment at hand.

Its unique features include the following:

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Sensors in the vehicle can detect the speed of vehicles around you and adjust your vehicle’s speed based on those measurements. It is particularly useful when a driver has difficulty judging the speed of other vehicles.

    High Beam Assist

The high beam of an oncoming vehicle has blinded most of us at one time or another. While driving at night you are in a risky position. Under circumstances where there is oncoming traffic, the ADAS – high beam assist temporarily switches to low beam.

    Traffic Sign Recognition

Road signs are no longer a concern on your journey. ADAS can read traffic signs and implement changes accordingly using the traffic sign recognition feature. The system’s speed-detection capability may allow your vehicle to lower its speed if you missed the roadside speed sign en route.

    Automatic Emergency Braking

Pedestrians and cyclists crossing on the sidewalk can be at risk of being struck by a car. When an object is detected in the path of the vehicle, this is when the auto-emergency braking system takes control. The driver can use this feature at times when they are distracted or fail to notice an unexpected object on the road.

    Driver Drowsiness System

The XUV700 also offers a driver drowsiness system that detects drowsiness and alerts the driver if he or she is unable to focus on the road. A unique feature of the app is the ability for users to set the drowsiness alert in their loved ones’ voices. In addition, the voice customisation option can also be utilized for safety alerts, such as high-speed warnings.
