Company’s latest SUV concept will be seen in petrol and hybrid choices apart from electric.
Auto Expo 2020 kicks-off with the unveiling of the anticipated concept of the Maruti Futuro-e SUV. The prototype features a design philosophy that will be seen on the future Maruti cars in India. Unwrapped at the India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, the Futuro-e is a four-seater electric coupe-SUV. Designed ingeniously by Maruti Suzuki, it’s adorned with an elegant sporty posture, which is far from traditional SUVs.
The radical face with bulky bumper line and LED DRL headlamps is complimented by thick C-pillar and finesse at the side profile, while the rear tail-lights stretched onto the bodywork are distinctive.
The leading carmaker had filed a patent for this name some months ago. As expected from an aggressively designed modern SUV, it receives fatter tyres with chunky alloy wheel design, camera pods for mirrors and a sunroof.
The futuristic cabin features a minimalistic arrangement with a blue and ivory theme and other cool assertions. The dashboard is endowed with a wide sweeping display with different controls.
The four-seater cabin sees future steering with a unique layout and seems derived from a spaceship. The unseen rear seat layout may also allow the rear passengers to take advantage of the digital controls. Termed as ‘an Indian car with global sensibilities’, by Maruti Suzuki, the all-electric concept SUV-coupe may rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta models.
