Maruti Suzuki Plans to Initiate New Facility in Haryana; Will Launch EVs by 2025

Maruti Suzuki, India’s one of the best automobile manufacturing companies, plans to initiate a new manufacturing plant in Haryana after 15 years. The last time Maruti Suzuki set up a new plant was in 2007, in Manesar, Haryana. Maruti Suzuki is continuing in accommodations with the government about locating the unborn installation in Haryana. The automaker has started in the state since its founding in 1983.

In Gurgaon, Maruti Suzuki has planned for over 300 acres of new plant. The maximum number of units that can be manufactured in Gurgaon per annum is 700,000. The total capacity of the Manesar plant is around 800,000 units per annum. The company is capable of manufacturing about 1.5-1.55 million units per annum including Manesar.

Maruti Suzuki has established a new plant in Gujarat, which manufactures the Baleno, Swift, and Swift Dzire; about 750,000 units annually.

Maruti Suzuki’s Chairman RC Bhargava recently told PTI that the business has no imminent plans to produce electric vehicles. They want to offer EVs by 2025, as demand for vehicles is presently less.
