Maruti Suzuki‘s production continued to affect due to a shortage of electronic components. The cumulative sales figures from April to October in 2021 are remarkably higher when compared to the same period last year.
In 2020 October, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,82,448 units. There are only 138,335 units sold out in 2021 October. Domestic sales declined by 32 percentage from 1,17,013 in September 2021 while 1,72,862 units in September 2020. The sales across the mini, compact, mid-size, utility vehicles, and van segments.
The mini fragment and the compact have witnessed a 43 percent drop in sales last month. A 70,522 unit sales in October 2021 compared to 1,23,530 units sales in October 2020. The mini and the compact fragment have registered a cumulative 4,71,089 unit sales between April-October 2021 when compared to the same period of 2020 with a growth of 8.4 percent.
The mid-size, utility vehicles and vans segments have counted cumulative sales of 38,480 units in October 2021 compared to the same period 2020 with a drop of 4 percent in sales. However, all three fragments had cumulative sales of 2,30,995 units between April-October 2020 when compared to the same period last year with 32 percent growth in sales.
Generally, including the exports and light commercial vehicle sales, the company has 1,38,335 units in October 2021 compared to 1,82,450 units in October 2020. It witnessed a 24 percent drop in sales. Maruti Suzuki counted cumulative sales of 8,71,490 units between April-October 2021 as compared to 6,52,178 units sold in the same period in 2020, witnessing a 25 percent growth in sales.
