The German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the Marco Polo camper variant of its V-Class range at Rs 1.38 crore (ex-showroom, India). Introduced at the ongoing Auto Expo, the Mercedes Benz V Class Marco Polo becomes the third product to be introduced in the V-Class range in India. It is launched in two iterations – Marco Polo and Marco Polo Horizon. Merc says the vehicle will be India’s first ‘Luxury Camper’ with a new space for mobile mini homes. Some term it as a moving 1BHK setup.

What is so homely about Mercedes Benz V-Class Marco Polo?
Well, everything. Its spacious cabin can be transformed into a living room within no time. There are several optional features to imbibe that homely feeling in a compact yet luxurious flat. A kitchen table with sink, convertible bench seats into a bed, retractable folding table, a wardrobe, a smart roof tent and a 40L fridge.
Rotated up to 180 degrees, the seats can be adjusted in 8 different positions albeit manually. Last row seats also turn into transformed into a comfy bed. The new Merc camper van gets adaptive LED headlamps and moulded bumpers with a large grille at the front. It gets a removable cap just above the rear fender for power input and water bay for the kitchen sink.
Rest details like the LED tail lamps, sporty alloy wheels, boxy appearance continues to be the same as other V-Class vehicles.
Mercedes Benz V-Class Marco Polo Engine
The Marco Polo variant of the Mercedes Benz V Class borrows the same engine doing duties under the other two V-Class cars. The 2.2L diesel engine generates 161 bhp of max power and a max torque of 380 Nm. It also shares the 7-speed automatic transmission of the V-Class.
