MG ZS EV 2021 Facelift Launched at ₹20.99 Lakh

The major highlight of the ZS EV from MG Motor India is a new battery pack, due to which the prices have increased.

MG ZS EV Facelift Launched in India

MG ZS EV 2021 facelift model has been officially launched in India at the starting price of Rs 20.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). The new MG ZS EV is equipped with a new 44.5 kWh HT (Hi-Tech) battery pack with a certified range of 419 kms. MG has claimed that the new battery pack has been tested thoroughly and it is proved that it is suitable for all weather conditions.

Depending on the driving conditions and external environment of real-world, the auto maker has stated that the range of the new MG ZS EV would be 300-400 kilometres. The new battery can take a sprint of 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds and it produces 143 Ps of power with 350 Nm of torque.

The ground clearance of MG ZS EV 2021 is increased to 177 mm. It will be available in two variants namely Excite and Exclusive. Some of the common features offered in the new ZS EV Facelift for both the variants include 8-inch infotainment system, 6-airbags, heater ORVMs, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist besides many others. And, on the other hand, the top model Exclusive is equipped with dual-pane panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, foldable ORVM, rain-sensing wipers and i-SMART EV 2.0 connected car technology.

MG has declared that it will help in expansion of charging ecosystem and a wall-charge will come complimentary and can be easily installed free of cost at customer’s preferred location. The new battery pack which has been equipped in the new MG ZS EV comes with 8-years of warranty and in addition to this, MG has offered 5 years of unlimited kilometers warranty, 5 free labour service, 5 years of road-side assistance and a 5-way charging infrastructure. The bookings of the car have commenced across 31 cities in India.

Rajeev Chaba, President and MD at MG Motor India said that it is a proud moment for the company to introduce the new ZS EV in such a short span of time. He added that they are also developing a strong charging infrastructure across the country with the association of the company’s ecosystem partners.
