Mini launched the facelifted Countryman in India on 4 March, 2021. The model is offered in two variants, the Cooper S and Cooper S JCW Inspired.
With its masculine proportions and rugged body design, Countryman sets out to be the most adventurous of all its Mini siblings. Currently being produced at the BMW facility in Chennai, the new Countryman is available in six different dual-tone paint jobs.
The 5-seater SUV is large, roomy and adventure-ready with a dramatic front bumper design and LED headlights. Both the standard Countryman Cooper S and the JCW Inspired variant gets a revised nose with the new bumpers and slightly tweaked black mesh grille that is bordered by the unique LED-powered bug-eyed headlamps.
In the back, the bumper is new too with the tail-lamps getting Mini’s trademark Union Jack LED motif. Other exterior highlights of the 2021 Mini Countryman include fog lights, a contrast black roof, silver roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels and an integrated spoiler.
The JCW Inspired variant gets a more athletic look compared to the regular Countryman with sportier bumpers, a rear spoiler and larger 18-inch wheels compared to the standard car’s 17-inches. Its aggressively designed bumpers and the flared wheel arches give it a peculiar character that stands out from the crowd.
The cabin has a few cosmetic updates along with a revised equipment list. Like the outer look, the interiors also do not lack in opulence or character. The upgraded cabin retains its charm with traditional MINI elements and the retro looks with sturdy toggle switches in the middle of the dashboard. Soft materials, leathers used in the upholstery, and even the excellent finish of the air vents prove that the car has been designed with an excellent eye for detail and appreciation.
