Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the New Brezza 2022 with powertrain and feature upgrades in India by the end of this month.
New Brezza 2022 facelift has been spotted on Indian roads in the past few months with quite a few design changes on the outside. The brand has also dropped the Vitara tag from the name this time.
Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza has been one of the popular models in the compact SUV segment. It has received a number of updates to compete better with its rivals. It has also generated much anticipation among the consumers with the spy shots from the road tests.
In the face of its launch on June 30th, a lot of important details about the Brezza 2022 have been leaked. From the images, we can see the new design changes, and additional modern features similar to the other facelifts from Maruti Suzuki. The company is also changing the name Vitara Brezza to just Brezza with the new facelift.

Design Updates of New Brezza 2022
The leaked images of the New Brezza 2022 began circulating in 2021 giving us the first glimpse of the updated SUV. Along with the features upgrades, the SUV is also getting design updates like a new grille, stylish LED headlights in the front and LED tail lights in the rear end.
The headlight design flows smoothly into the narrow grille and appears to be one whole unit. There are 2 chrome finished elements that are placed just above the logo. Brezza new model also has twin C-shaped LED DRLs, and the tail lights have slimmed down to extend onto the tailgate.
The body of the Brezza 2022 has a flatter design without cuts and creases and also gets new fenders and bonnet. Brezza will also be built on the same Global C platform as that of the outgoing version.
The front bumper is finished in matte black and has a faux bull bar along with a faux skid plate below it. Along the sides is the new cladding in matte black cladding for a more macho look. Similar to the front, the rear bumper is also in black with a silver faux skid plate.
New Interior Changes of New Brezza 2022
Although the spy shots don’t divulge any details on the changes inside, we can expect more changes in the interiors than seen on the outside. New Brezza 2022 a will receive an updated dashboard, a new steering wheel and stylishly designed front seats. The infotainment unit is a 9-inch touchscreen with Smartplay Pro+ with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and connected car tech.
Other features in the New Brezza 2022 will include a wireless charger, Head-up display, 360-degree camera, sunroof and paddle shifters (for the automatic variants).
Brezza has also bagged 4 stars in the GNCAP crash tests. It comes with safety features like 6 airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors, hill hold assist, cruise control etc.
The Ertiga facelift and XL6 came with the new 1.5-litre K15C DualJet engine which will also power the New Brezza 2022 instead of the K15B engine in the current version. It can produce up to 103 hp and 136 Nm with 2 injectors per cylinder to increase engine efficiency.
Transmission choices will be a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic along with the brand’s mild-hybrid tech. There will be no diesel variant for the New Brezza 2022. However, Maruti might offer a CNG version a little later after the launch.
Launch Date, Expected Price and Rivals
New Brezza 2022 is expected to be launched on the 30th of June this year. The launch will coincide with the unveiling of Hyundai’s 2022 Venue facelift.
The price for the New Brezza 2022 can start from Rs 7.5 Lakh and go up to Rs 11.5 Lakh (ex-showroom price). The rivals for this compact SUV will be Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
