Toyota Fortuner rival now gets a new diesel motor in the form of 2.0L EcoBlue engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new 2020 Ford Endeavour has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 29.55 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The updated full-size Ford SUV is now packed with a new 2.0L EcoBlue BSVI obeying diesel powertrain that is paired with a first in segment (and first for India) 10-speed automatic transmission (AT). Made available with 4×2 as well as 4×4 systems, it now receives company’s FordPass connected car tech across all trims. Moreover, premium highlights that include a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, 7 airbags along with others continue to be a part of the extensive feature-list.
2020 Ford Endeavour BS-VI Prices
New Ford Endeavour is offered in three trims namely Titanium 4×2 AT (Rs 29.55 lakh), Titanium+ 4×2 AT (Rs 31.55 lakh) and Titanium+ 4×4 AT (Rs 33.25 lakh). Compared to the BSIV Titanium+ 4×4 AT (3.2L TDCi) top-end variant (Rs 34.70 lakh), the updated BSVI high end is cheaper by a good Rs 1.45 lakh. Moreover, the BSIV Titanium+ 4×2 AT (2.2L TDCi) mid variant too is expensive by Rs 78000 against the similar model BSVI trim. All prices are of ex-showroom, New Delhi.
2020 Ford Endeavour Exterior
On the exterior part, not much of notable changes can be seen except for somewhat restyled headlamps at the front, and the faux vent now flaunts ‘ENDEAVOUR’ lettering in place of engine capacity. Inside, the high-on-room cabin layout remains similar to the earlier BSIV Endeavour. Minute alteration includes a new gear level, while the fit and finish levels of the cabin are kept intact.

Other tech and premium elements comprise of an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with SYNC 3 and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto support, cabin active noise cancellation, power-folding third-row seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 8-way power-adjust front seats and others.
Further, the addition of the FordPass connected car application lets the users benefit from features like remote AC on/off, locate the vehicle, remote ignition and other such 55 new features. Whereas rock-solid safety aspects come in the form of 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC, hill hold assist, semi-automatic parallel park assist, front and rear parking sensors and many more.
2020 Ford Endeavour BS-6 Specifications
Specifications part now shuns its outdated BSVI 2.2L and 3.2L TDCi diesel engine to make way for the cleaner 2.0L EcoBlue BS6 compliant diesel engine. The fuel-efficient engine is mated to a one of a kind 10-speed automatic gearbox with no manual choice in any of the trims across its line-up.
According to Ford India, the new EcoBlue BS6 motor generates 170 PS (maximum power) and 420 Nm (peak torque) and delivers 14 per cent more fuel savings against its predecessor engine. The 2020 Ford Endeavour hand over a fuel efficiency of 13.9 kmpl and 12.4 kmpl with its 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain variants respectively.
The large size SUV comes in the price bracket of Rs 29.55 – 33.25 lakh, which is the introductory price of each trim and will last till 30th April 2020, post which every single variant will see a price upsurge of Rs 70,000 approx. In its segment, the Ford Endeavour will continue to compete with the likes of the Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and the upcoming MG Gloster SUV.
Other than Endeavour BSVI update, other cars in the Ford India portfolio too, saw powertrain revision and that includes Ford Figo hatchback (Rs 5.39 – 7.85 lakh), Ford Aspire compact sedan (Rs 5.99 – 8.34 lakh) and Ford Freestyle crossover (Rs 5.89 – 8.19 lakh). All prices are of ex-showroom, New Delhi. All the three cars are adorned with features such as automatic headlamps, push-button start, touch-screen infotainment system, electrochromic mirror, 6-airbags, and rain-sensing wipers.
