2022 Maruti Brezza SUV
Maruti has renamed and revamped its Vitara Brezza for a brand new launch in 2022. This SUV has lost Vitara from its name and added a more powerful powertrain under its hood. The new Brezza is anticipated to receive new styling elements along with new connectivity features, a sunroof, lane assist, 360-degree camera, etc. At the rear, there will be newly-designed wraparound taillights, a new bumper with faux skid plate and restyled tailgate.
The existing Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine with a 12V mild hybrid system. This will be replaced by a stronger 48V hybrid system but the 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine will remain the same. It is also widely expected to be offered with CNG option right from the launch making it Maruti’s first SUV with a CNG kit.
2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV
Hyundai is updating multiple models from its portfolio this New Year, starting with Tucson. The South Korean carmaker has announced that the new Tucson will undergo a lot of design changes to gain what the company is describing as a “sensuous sportiness.”
A new parametric grille on the outside and a dual-screen infotainment system with a 10.3-inch display for climate control and other functions on the inside will be added. Additionally, the new Tucson SUV will also come equipped with a digital instrument cluster, two-device Bluetooth connectivity, 64 colour ambient lighting and an air quality monitoring system. Under the hood will be the same 2.0L turbocharged petrol and turbo diesel engines.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio
Scorpio’s new generation launch is one of the most anticipated launches from Mahindra this year. The 2022 Scorpio will receive comprehensive design updates to make this model boxier than its predecessor.
With the bigger size, the power for this SUV will be generated by the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo-diesel motors delivering 130bhp (lower variants)/ 170bhp (higher variants) and 155bhp with 360Nm respectively. It will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options. This moves the model above Alcazar in terms of power. Apart from this, we can also expect some feature upgrades to go along with the new looks of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio.
