The debut of Lexus LX600 is almost upon us. Toyota’s campaign for its unveiling began with a short teaser of the luxury SUV. EST 12.30 pm on October 13th, 2021 will see LX 600’s online debut at the same time it goes live in real in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The second generation LX was launched in 2007 and then received 3 updates till 2015. It is definitely the time for it to receive a complete design revamp.
The teaser shows the flagship SUV with the same design language with an LED light bar connecting two hockey stick tail-lamps above the LEXUS lettering that has replaced the brand’s logo.
The luxury crossover is underpinned by the updated ladder frame chassis blending elements with the GA-F architecture as in the Land Cruiser and will be sharing other features with it.
The Lexus LX 600 is expected to arrive with the twin turbo-charged 3.5-litre V6 that powered the LC 300 series. It will put out a 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque similar to that model.
A 10-speed automatic transmission will transfer power to all four wheels and an all-wheel-drive system will be the standard.
The anticipated hybrid variant LX 750h can also use the same engine with an electric motor, which in combination will power up and produce 480 hp and 871 Nm torque to the wheels.
LX is expected to be priced around USD 90,000 beginning its sale early next year.
