Nissan Magnite Launched at Rs 4.99 Lakh, Emerges As the Cheapest Offering in Segment

The Magnite is powered by 1.0L turbo-petrol engine and it gets many rival teasing features like 360-degree camera, cruise control, wireless charger, air purifier, etc.

The highly anticipated Japanese compact SUV, Nissan Magnite is launched in the country at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 9.35 lakh for the fully-loaded trim (both prices ex showroom, Delhi). With such an aggressive price point, it undercuts all its rivals by a good margin and becomes the most affordable sub-4m SUV in India. The Magnite will be offered in two petrol engine options with one being a turbocharged offering.

Nissan Magnite Engine Specs Features

Based on the CMF-A+ platform of the Renault Triber, the Nissan Magnite shares its engine options as well with the Renault MPV. It gets a 1.0L petrol engine available with two setups – naturally aspirated and turbocharged. The former generates 72PS of max power and 96Nm of max torque whereas the latter offers 100PS and 160Nm. Both the engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard with the turbo-variants getting an option of a CVT transmission.

Made available in five variants the car features highlights such as LED headlamps, automatic climate control, cruise control, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, air purifier, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, JBL sound system and others. It gets dual-tone and single-tone paint options to choose from.


The Nissan SUV will battle with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Mahindra XUV300.
