The teaser images of Nissan Magnite SUV reveal its partial front fascia, side profile and rear headlamp.
Nissan will be unwrapping the new Magnite SUV on July 16. To create buzz, the Japanese carmaker teased two images of the upcoming SUV. It first teased the SUV in April this year. From the images, it is clear that Magnite will be drawing cues from its existing cousin, the Nissan Kicks. It will be the carmaker’s smallest global SUV to date. When launched in India, it will sit below the Kicks as a compact SUV.BUY NISSAN CARS AT BEST PRICE
Speaking of the released images, they reveal the headlamp, fog lamp, alloy wheel and partial grille design of the Magnite. Although it appears to be a concept rather than a production version, there are some elements which help us understand what the final product would look like.
From the side profile image, it gives hints of a Datsun Go-Plus MPV; however, the headlamps seem to be drawn from its elder sibling, the Nissan Kicks. Another Datsun-esque feature is the large L-shaped LED DRLs, which extend into the headlamp after a brief pause. For the uninitiated, the latest iteration of the Datsun Redi-Go had similar DRLs. It gets hexagonal grille which is typical of Datsun cars.
To beef up the aesthetics, the Magnite will be getting body cladding all across the exterior. We already saw the crossover-like silhouettes in the previous teaser.

Nissan Magnite is likely to borrow a 1.0-litre petrol engine from the Renault Triber, which churns out 72bhp of max power and 96Nm of peak torque. It is currently linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox but we expect Nissan to offer an AMT option as well.
Another expected engine is the 1.0-litre HR10 turbo-petrol which belts out 95bhp of max power. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
Nissan would be eyeing to keep the Magnite’s pricing aggressive. It’s an entry-level SUV so we can expect it to start at Rs 5.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
