Nissan’s Magnite XV To Get New Executive Trim

Following Magnite’s success in the Indian market, the subcompact crossover SUV will offer extra provisions to keep Nissan ahead in this competitive segment. So far, Magnite’s sales performance keeps it a running success for the Japanese company in India.

Even the two price hikes since its launch has not dimmed its popularity in the country. With the same zeal, Nissan is gearing up to announce an Executive trim to its XV variant. Expected to be placed above the mid-spec XL variant in the line-up, it will come along with added features over the XL.

Additional Features

The new Executive trim will probably include:

  • 16-inch alloy wheels
  • Silverside cladding
  • Driver seat height adjustment
  • 60:40 split rear seat with centre armrest with cup holders
  • Seatback pockets
  • ISOFIX child seat anchorages
  • 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Rear-view camera

With these additions, the XV’s Executive trim will mostly be priced about Rs 52,000 over the XL variant.

In addition to all that, it will also come with, a rear-view camera, a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, pre-installed Google Maps, Split Screen for video and navigation, and wired/wireless Mirror Link. Apart from these other features on offer include a multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, power-adjustable ORVMs, power windows, power boot, rear window wiper and defogger, etc. and not to forget, safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and power door locks, etc.

On the other hand, XV Executive trim will be missing LED Daytime Running Lamps, LED fog lamps and Keyless entry and go.

Engine Options

Currently, the powertrains are expected to be the same as Magnite’s standard variants. The Executive trim will also have similar powertrains, the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol.

The naturally-aspirated motor gives out 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque and comes paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the turbocharged engine generates 99 bhp along with 160 Nm of peak torque mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and 99 bhp with 152 Nm when paired with a CVT.

The Crossover SUV is offered in five trims now, the XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O) trim.

It is also running successfully against a host of SUVs such as Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Renault Kiger, and Tata Nexon.
