Similarly, for other cars in the Tata lineup, Tata Nexon had an average increase of Rs 9,604 (the highest), followed by the Tata Tigor which saw an average increase of Rs 6,000 and lastly, Tata Tiago had an average increase in price of Rs 2,500. These are some significant figures which could influence the purchase decision of people at large.

    Talking about cars in the Hyundai Group, the table above represents an average price increase of Rs 14,227 for the Hyundai Creta. Similarly, Hyundai Aura saw an average increase of Rs 1,208, followed by Hyundai Verna which had an average increase of Rs 7,510. Hyundai Elantra did not see any changes in the pricing whatsoever, on the other hand, Hyundai i20 saw some significant price drops of around Rs 10,746 which is a job well done by Hyundai.

    Coming on to the lineup of cars in Honda, as you can derive from the table shown above, the Honda Amaze has a significant increase in the average price which is around Rs 46,108 and is by far, the highest among other brands. Honda WRV comes in second with a staggering increase of Rs 44,398 which is a lot for a car that does not sell much when compared with the rivals. Honda City sees an average increase of Rs 10,239, followed by Honda Jazz which has an average price increase of Rs 5,769. This significant jump in the amount will certainly make people think twice before buying a Honda car.

    Maruti cars have always been value for money and the comparison tells no other story. From the above table which depicts the price increase for Maruti Celerio, it is an average of Rs 1,545 which is meagre when considered the amounts of variants listed. Their top-selling hatchback, the Maruti Alto saw an average increase of Rs 2,000, followed by the Maruti Wagon R which saw an average increase of Rs 1,429. Their recent addition to the hatchback segment, the Maruti S-Presso had an average price increase of Rs 2,857 and lastly, the utilitarian Maruti Eeco had an average increase of Rs 3,157.
