The French automaker has launched its first B-SUV, Renault Kiger in the country at a starting price of Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The Renault Kiger compact SUV is offered in two petrol engine choices and four trims. Based on the CMFA+ platform, the Kiger is available in six exterior paint options and every trim gets dual-tone shade alternatives to choose from. The prices are introductory and undercut all its rivals. The bookings have commenced from today at all the Renault dealerships nationwide.
Priced in the range of Rs 5.45-9.45 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The base RXE gets single choice with the manual gearbox at Rs 5.45 lakh. Moreover, the RXL trim features three trims in the form of Petrol MT at Rs 6.14 lakh, Petrol AMT at Rs 6.59 lakh and Turbo-Petrol MT at Rs 7.14 lakh. Further, the RXT trim with different engine and gearbox choice and is priced between Rs 6.60 – 8.60 lakh. Whereas, the top end RXZ with manual and automatic transmission rests amid Rs 7.55 – 9.55 lakh. All prices ex-showroom, pan India.
The Renault Kiger comes with two engine choices and varied transmission options. The 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol gives out 72hp and 96Nm and is coupled to a choice of 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Moreover, the 1.0L turbo-petrol unit outpours 100hp and 160Nm. The turbocharged engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT and offers three drive modes namely Normal, Eco and Sport. The Kiger SUV claims to have the biggest boot space in its class stretching a huge 405L, which can be extended to 879L with folded rear seats.
On the outside, the Kiger welcomes with a sculpted hood upfront and a large winged grille at the front alongside all-LED headlight setup. The sides have flared wheel arches, blackened C-pillar and sporty looking sloping roofline. The rear acquires unique C-shaped LED taillamps and spoiler, whereas the faux-aluminum skid plate enhances the sporty rear. The Kiger SUV is shod with 16-inch, 195/65 R16 tyres with alloy wheels.
In terms of features, the top-spec RxZ variants get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Moreover, the equipment list on the top trim comprise of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, push-button start, Arkamys audio system, wireless mobile charging, auto-climate control, ambient lighting and PM2.5 air filter. The Kiger safety feature list consists of ABS, four airbags, rear-view camera, parking sensors and many more.
