Renault has unveiled a seven-seater family car named Dacia Jogger. New models will join the brand’s UK line-up, which encompasses the Sandero, the Sandero Stepway, and the Duster. According to the company, the new Jogger 7-seater car combines key attributes of each market segment: the length, practicality, and space of an estate car, along with the style and reassurance of an SUV.
Dacia’s new Jogger is built on the same CMF-B platform that powers the new Sandero from the Renault-Nissan alliance. According to reports, Renault will also design and develop the third-generation Duster on the same platform. Dacia’s new model measures over 4.5 meters in length, making it the longest vehicle in the company’s lineup. The vehicle has a 200mm ground clearance.
The new Dacia Jogger will feature a completely new design that borrows some of the Bigster concept’s features. There are two wide grilles flanked by Y-shaped LED headlights. It comes with an improved tailgate and vertically stacked taillights at the back. It comes with a modular roof rail that can handle 80kg of weight.
Dacia will offer a special ‘Extreme’ version of the Jogger that has a more pronounced off-road styling. The 7-seater model is available in five colours – Pearl Black, Slate Grey, Moonstone Grey, Glacier White, and Terracotta Brown. In addition to the shark-fin antenna and black alloy wheels, the Extreme variant comes with black roof rails, black door mirrors and a black shark-fin antenna. Megalith Grey is used for the skid plates. In addition to the protective door strips and the Extreme badging, the exterior is finished in a unique manner.
Dacia Jogger offers 7 adults a place to sit on its 2.9-meter wheelbase. There are more than 60 ways you can arrange the split-folding seats, and maximum cargo space of 1,819 litres is available. The Jogger offers 213 litres of boot space when all seats are in place.
Dacia Jogger Extreme’s interior features red stitching on the upholstery and chrome door trim; in addition, it has climate control, a reversing camera, hands-free communication, floor mats for each passenger, and tough rubber cargo mats.
A full range of multimedia and infotainment systems is available, each offering connection features. The dashboard design of the vehicle features an integrated smartphone docking station. A touchscreen infotainment system with an 8-inch screen is included, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle also features an upgraded audio system with six speakers and two USB ports, as well as a navigation system.
Dacia offers multiple engine options for the all-new Jogger 7-seater. An engine producing 110bhp and 200Nm is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, powered by a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. A 99bhp version of the Sandero LPG is available with bi-fuel technology. Hybrid versions of the vehicle are also expected in 2023. The 1.6-litre petrol in this variant comes with two electric motors, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.2kW 230V battery.
The new Jogger has six airbags and an array of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This model comes equipped with emergency brake assist, blind-spot warning, a rear-view camera, hill start assists, electronic stability control (ESC) and a speed limiter.
