ŠKODA has provided the first glance of the new KUSHAQ’s interior in a formal layout sketch. Just like the other car models introduced by the Czech automaker, the upcoming Kushaq also sports a sizable, freestanding infotainment screen. The Skoda Kushaq SUV will be formally released later this month and will be the first of four models from ŠKODA and Volkswagen as a part of the INDIA 2.0 product campaign. The car is manufactured in India itself and is built on MQB-A0-IN platform from Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Toolkit, which is specially adapted for Indian market by Skoda.
The fundamental element in the inside of this newest ŠKODA KUSHAQ is a freestanding infotainment screen which can be made diagonal up to ten inches. The inside layout sketch also clearly reveals the character line running under it, echoing the symmetrical contours of the Skoda grille. The measurements/dimensions of this ŠKODA KUSHAQ correspond to the ones of a midsize car. Besides this, the new SUV version for the Indian market offers generous space in addition to numerous storage options and brand’s signature Simply Clever details.
The ŠKODA KUSHAQ along with other models in the INDIA 2.0 product campaign are based on the locally designed MQB-A0-IN platform. ŠKODA AUTO has accommodated this version from the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Toolkit, specially adapted for Indian market. It meets the new, more rigorous safety and emission requirements in India. The technical development has been completed in ŠKODA AUTO’s Technology Centre at Pune, India with a projection of 95% localization degree for the new vehicles.
