Skoda Rapid Rider Plus gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen unit over the stock Rider variant.
To cash on the overwhelming response to its Rider sedan, Skoda has launched the Rider Plus sedan in India at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings for the Rider were paused as Skoda was caught by surprise to the fabulous response received. The Rider Plus gets a price premium of Rs 50,000 over the base-spec Rider trim.
What do you get in Skoda Rapid Rider Plus for the Rs 50,000 premium?
Based on the consumer feedback, Skoda has added a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and decals around the side in the Rider Plus variant. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. It gets black facade on the front grille, glossy black B pillars and chrome garnish on window and trunk lip.
Inside the Rider Plus, you get a new dual-tone ebony sand colour interior theme with ivory slate upholstery. Further adding to its beauty are the stainless steel scuff plates with RAPID inscribed on them.
Engine and specifications
The new Skoda Rapid Rider Plus builds on the base-spec Rider version and borrows the same engine – a 1.0-litre TSI petrol. It produces a max power of 108 bhp and max torque of 175Nm. Mated to the six-speed manual transmission; it delivers a claimed mileage of 18.97 kmpl.
