Tata Motors has become one of the leading automotive brands today. They have launched the much-awaited XTA+ variants of their flagship SUVs, Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. Both these SUVs hold a commanding lead over the segment with a 41.2% market share (as of Q1 FY22) and with the addition of the XTA+ variants, the lead is expected to stretch further.

Loaded with two of the most demanded features, these XTA+ variants will come equipped with a Panoramic Sunroof with functionalities like Global Close, Anti Pinch & Rain Sensing closure to name a few and a 6-speed automatic transmission providing an effortless driving experience.”
The flagship SUVs from Tata Motors come equipped with a load of kits. The features common on both the cars include projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLS, R17 alloy wheels, Android Auto & Apple Car Play connectivity, floating island 7” touchscreen infotainment system with 8 Speakers (4 Speakers + 4 Tweeters), push-button start, reverse parking camera, fully automatic temperature control, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers and more. Tata Safari is a bit expensive, offers some additional kits that the Harrier misses out on. The list includes iRA connected car features, mood lighting, cruise control & tyre pressure monitoring system. Keeping in mind the safety of passengers, the new XTA+ variant in both the products offers Dual Front Airbags, an advanced ESP, fog lamps & reverse parking camera as standard features.
There has been the addition of a 6-speed automatic transmission for both machines. Tata Harrier and Tata Safari share the same powertrain which is a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine producing 167 bhp and 350 nm of torque. The Kryotec engine will be paired with the all-new 6-speed auto transmission to aid driving comfort. The ARAI claimed mileage from this engine is 17kmpl.
Tata Harrier XTA+ will be priced at Rs 19.14 Lakhs and the Dark Edition XTA+ will cost Rs 19.34 Lakhs. As for the Safari, the XTA+ variant will be priced at Rs 20.08 Lakhs. Both the vehicles offer a panoramic sunroof with these new variants as well.
