Tata’s youngest SUV Punch is all set to be launched in India on the 18th of October. Earlier this month, Tata opened pre-bookings for Punch for an initial payment of Rs 21,000.
Upon its arrival, Punch is expected to take on the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite as well as the upcoming Hyundai Casper and Citreon C3. Read about this in detail here.
The new Punch is built on the ALFA-ARC platform. Safety features in Tata Punch include Dual Airbags that are standard offering, ABS & EBD with Brake Sway Control, Front Fog Lamps with Cornering Function, Reverse Parking Camera, Auto Head Lamps and Rain Sensing Wipers. Other than these, it also comes with ISOFIX, Perimetric Alarm, Puddle Lamps, Rear Defogger and a Fortified Cabin.
Seven different shades of Punch are available to consumers namely:
- Tornado Blue
- Calypso Red
- Meteor Bronze
- Atomic Orange
- Tropical Mist
- Daytona Grey
- Orcus White
This sub-compact SUV draws its power from a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns power output of 86 PS and torque of 113 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission along with the Traction Pro mode that aids in mild off-roading situations.
Punch will be available as four variants with four different Personas called as Creative, Accomplished, Adventure and Pure, to appeal to the customers on a personal level of their needs.
