Top 10 Electric Vehicles in India in 2022

  1. Audi RS e-tron GT

Audi RS e-tron GT

Launched last year, the RS e-tron GT from Audi tops our list with its performance and price tag. It reigns as the most expensive electric vehicle on offer in the Indian market. The e-tron GT comes with 637bhp and 830Nm producing electric motors on 2 axles and a 93.4kWh battery pack. It’s a Quattro all-wheel drive and accelerates 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. Coming to the performance, the ride quality is excellent with brilliantly calibrated adaptive air suspension for a heavyweight electric vehicle. It has got no lack in aesthetics as the design is exceptionally beautiful and Audi offers all the comfort and convenience features you would like with the hefty price tag.

Ex-showroom price: Rs 2.05 Cr

  1. Audi e-tron GT

Audi e-tron GT

The other all-electric e-tron from Audi is the GT with a slightly lower price tag. The e-tron GT is built on a J1 high-voltage platform, the same as in Porsche’s Taycan. Like the RS e-tron GT, this one also gets 2 electric motors on each axle making it a quattro all-wheel-drive that generates about 476PS and 630Nm. It claims a range of about 500 km. The acceleration time might not match that of RS e-tron GT’s as this takes 4.1 seconds to go from 0-100 kmph which is still pretty impressive. E-tron GT comes in a really drab tactical green metallic shade but that does not stop it from getting awed head turns. Such is the power of the ground-hugging, classic design of the e-tron GT.
