The first-ever premium model in its segment, Toyota Hilux was launched in India on the 31st of March in 2022.

Bookings had begun back in January 2021 for the first batch of the Hilux trucks. Deliveries have commenced for this batch while the bookings for the next batch have been suspended temporarily to avoid any delays. However, bookings will again resume in late April or early May.

Toyota has priced the Hilux between Rs 34 lakh and Rs 36.80 lakh (ex-showroom price). Hilux has entered the Indian market as the only model in the premium lifestyle pickup truck segment. Isuzu’s D-Max V-Cross is the only other pickup available which, however, is not in the same price category as the Hilux.

Feature Highlights:

  • Hilux comes as a double cab built on the IMV-2 Platform
  • Has similar underpinnings as that of Fortuner and the Crysta
  • Is offered in 3 variants – MT Standard, MT High and MT Standard
