After about two years of anticipation, Toyota Vellfire is finally launched in India at a whopping price of nearly Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom, all India). Back in the 2018 edition of the Auto Expo, the Japanese carmaker had displayed Toyota Alphard MPV to gauge audience response. And the feedback it registered was quite positive. As a result, just at the right time when the demand for premium MPVs is on surge in the country, Toyota has introduced the more stylish version of the Alphard MPV – the Vellfire. Sides see smooth lines flowing, chrome bordering window frames, ORVMs with side indicators, and sleek looking electric sliding doors, while the rear gets a wide chrome slat placed in the middle of the LED tail lamps and a high mounted large rear spoiler.

The hefty Vellfire nearly touches the 5000 mm mark with its 4935 mm length, while the width, height and wheelbase stand at 1850 mm, 1895 mm and 3000 mm respectively.

The synergy translates into higher fuel savings and cleaner emissions with less carbon footprint. The hybrid engine delivers a claimed fuel economy of 16.35 kmpl under standard driving conditions.

Without going into the numbers the company has stated nearly 20 per cent orders of the Vellfire are from the Hyderabad city.
