Exciting cars are slated for launch in February 2022. Here’s the list of the new line-ups that are entering the Indian auto market this month.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Wagon R debuted back in 2018 and is long overdue for an update that it will be receiving this month. The new face-lifted hatchback was caught more than once during test runs but Maruti Suzuki has kept everything else covered for now. It is sure to receive at least a few cosmetic updates along with some new features inside to go with the new look.

  • Expected price: Rs 5.2 lakh to Rs 6.6 lakh
  • Wagon R will keep on rivalling Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, and Maruti Celerio.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The facelift of Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno that ran against popular models like Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and Volkswagen Polo is the most anticipated launch of the season. The design changes include exciting features inside and noteworthy cosmetic upgrades front and back. The new hatchback will also be receiving a CNG kit but whether or not it will be available by the date of the launch is still uncertain. But otherwise, the 2022 Baleno is all ready to flood the market as the company has started moving out units already for its February launch. The pre-bookings of the new 2022 Maruti Baleno have started with the token amount of Rs 11,000.

  • Expected price: Rs 6.2 lakh to Rs 10 lakh

Kia Carens

Pre-bookings for the new Carens opened at Rs 25,000 online and at dealerships from the mid of January. The new generation Carens is expected as the next out on the list of launches this February. Carens will come with a digitized driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto climate control with rear and roof-mounted AC vents. Meanwhile, safety features will include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors. It is also getting Moss Brown as a special colour option and powertrains remain similar to that of the Seltos.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk

Jeep has a few big launches to be unleashed in India, the first of which will be the Compass’ Trailhawk. This variant is a one hundred percent off-road vehicle with multiple bumpers on offer for improved approach and departure angles. Like the Compass, Trailhawk will also come with 4WD and terrain modes, and powered by a 2-litre diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 32 Lakh (ex-showroom).

New Lexus NX

The luxury compact SUV is all set to launch this February. The pre-bookings have been open since the last 2 weeks of January. The Nexus NX gets new exterior design tweaks giving it a honed look than the previous model. It also gets a new dashboard and bigger display screens. The same engine that powers the NX350h, a 2.5-litre petrol engine, and an electric motor will be offered with the new generation Nexus NX as well.

  • Expected starting price: Rs 60 lakh
  • Nexus NX will run against Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Volvo XC60 in the field.

Audi Q7 (Latest Launch)

The luxury brand launched the facelift model of Q7 on February 3rd at a price of Rs 79.99 Lakh. Audi has fitted the new Q7 with a new 340hp, 500Nm, 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a four-wheel drive by Audi’s Quattro AWD system. The engine is a 48V mild-hybrid system that can turn off the engine for up to 40 seconds when coasting.

  • Audi Q7 will take on contemporary luxury models like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, and Volvo XC90.
