The first-ever seven-seater SUV from Volkswagen in India is finally here.
- Compared to standard Tiguan, the AllSpace is 215 mm longer and 110 mm wider.
- It will rival Skoda Kodiaq, Honda CRV 7-Seater, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
The extended version of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Tiguan Allspace has been launched in India at introductory prices of Rs 33.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, the VW Tiguan Allspace was displayed at the 2020 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. The German automaker has launched the SUV in a single fully loaded version, the 4Motion. It is offered in seven colour options – red, white, orange, black, grey, blue and silver. It also becomes the first vehicle from VW stable to leverage the relaxed norms of imports for completely built-up units (CBU).
The VW Tiguan Allspace replaces the five-seater Tiguan SUV in the country. The company has decided not to upgrade any diesel motor in its lineup to comply with the upcoming BS6 norms which ultimately leaves no option for the Tiguan but to exit from the market as it came only with a diesel engine. It used to come in two variants – Comfortline (Rs 28.15 lakh) and Highline (Rs 31.54 lakh). For the extra pair of seats, you need to shell out Rs 1.58 lakh more over the Tiguan Highline trim.
